Sausage Pinwheels
Sausage Pinwheels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising flour, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. meal, 1/4 c. shortening and 1 lb. mild sausage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Blend shortening with dry ingredients.
Add milk and mix well. Turn onto floured surface and knead about 1 minute.
Divide dough into 2 parts.
Roll about 1/4-inch thick.
Spread each half with 1/2 pound sausage, which has been softened to room temperature. Put rolls into refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight. Slice 1/4-inch thick.
Bake in 400Β° oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes about 60 to 70.
