Sauerkraut Salad
Sauerkraut Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. cider vinegar, 1 tsp. turmeric, 2 tsp. mustard seed and 1 large can sauerkraut, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, turmeric and mustard. Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and cool (sugar should be dissolved).
Drain sauerkraut, bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Slice chestnuts.
Mix kraut, bean sprouts, sliced chestnuts, chopped celery, sliced onion rings and mix in cooled liquid.
Keep in refrigerator.
