Sauerkraut Casserole
Sauerkraut Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. mild italian sausage links-cut into 1-inch slices, 1 lg onion chopped, 2 apples macintosh or granny smith peeled & quartered, 27 oz. can sauerkraut-undrained and 1 cup water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Preheat oven to 350.
In large skillet or Dutch oven.
Cook Italian Sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender.
Drain fat.
Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, sugar and caraway seed.
Transfer to a 2-1/2 qt. baking dish.
Cover and bake for 1 hour.
Serves 4.
