Sauerkraut Bake
Sauerkraut Bake is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. bacon, 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, drained, 2/3 c. onion, finely chopped, 1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut and 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In large skillet fry bacon until crisp.
Drain on paper towels, crumble and set aside.
Add onion to drippings in skillet.
Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often until lightly brown and tender.
Drain on paper towels.
In large bowl combine tomatoes, sauerkraut, brown sugar, bacon and onion.
Turn the mixture into a 2-quart casserole. Cover and refrigerate at least 5 hours or overnight.
Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 350Β°.
