Sate Buntel
Sate buntel is an Indonesian satay in which seasoned minced meat is shaped around skewers and grilled until smoky, juicy, and lacquered. Shallots, coriander, sweet soy, and a little coconut milk keep the mixture aromatic, while sambal and cucumber make each bite lively.

Soak bamboo skewers, then mix the meat with shallots, garlic, spices, coconut milk, kecap manis, salt, and pepper.
Knead briefly until the mixture feels sticky, then shape it firmly around the skewers in even logs.
Grill over medium-high heat, turning often and brushing lightly with kecap manis, until charred and cooked through.
Rest for a few minutes and serve with cucumber, sliced shallots, rice cake pieces, and sambal.
