Salt Water Taffy(Atlantic City Style) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch, 2/3 c. white corn syrup, 1/2 c. water and 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix sugar and corn syrup thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients, except vanilla. Stir until boiling.
Boil to the hard ball stage and remove from stove. Add vanilla.
Pour on greased plate after bubbling has stopped. When cool enough to handle, pull until light colored. Twist and cut into suitable lengths.
