Salmon Tureen
Salmon Tureen is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Made with medium potatoes, pared and diced, c. onion, chopped, c. thinly sliced celery, c. butter or margarine and c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook potatoes, covered, in boiling water to cover, in medium saucepan for 15 minutes; set aside.
Saute onion and celery in butter in kettle until soft.
Blend in flour; cook, stirring constantly until bubbly.
Stir in milk; continue cooking and stirring until mixture thickens and bubbles, 1 minute.
Stir in peas and carrots.
Bring slowly to boil; cover.
Simmer for 12 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
