Add sugar, salt and butter to milk.
Cook to lukewarm.
Add yeast, eggs and flour.
Beat well and cover.
Let rise in warm place until double (about 2 1/2 hours).
Stir down and pour into well-greased pan or baking dish.
Cover and let rise again until double (about 1 1/2 hours).
Bake at 375° to 400° for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
Serve hot with plenty of butter.
