Round Steak Above Average
Round Steak Above Average is an easy dinner. Made with 1 round steak, 1/2 pkg. onion soup mix (dry), 8 oz. can tomato sauce and 4 to 5 potatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Trim and cut round steak into serving size pieces; salt and pepper.
Turn in flour and brown in frying pan (I like to use Corning Ware so I can serve in it, too).
Sprinkle on onion soup mix.
Add tomato sauce and one tomato sauce can of water.
Scrub and cut sideways (slices about 1/4-inch thick) 4 or 5 potatoes and layer on top.
Salt and pepper potatoes and bake at 350Β° about 45 minutes.
Serves 4.
