Rice-Sausage Casserole
Rice-Sausage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. bulk sausage, 1 c. finely chopped green pepper, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 2 1/2 c. chopped celery and 1 c. slivered almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Brown sausage in large skillet.
Pour off excess fat.
Add green pepper, onion and celery and saute.
Combine soup mix in boiling water in large saucepan.
Stir in uncooked rice.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
Add sausage mixture and salt.
Mix most of almonds with saving a few to pat on top.
Pour into greased baking dish, 12 x 8 x 2-inch.
Bake in moderate oven at 375Β° for 20 minutes.
