Rice Casserole
Rice Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. slivered almonds, 1 c. rice (brown or white), 2 tbsp. chopped green pepper, 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms or small can sliced mushrooms and 4 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cook together almonds, rice, pepper, mushrooms, onions and margarine until rice turns yellow, stirring often.
Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Add chicken broth.
Cover and bake at 325Β° for 1 hour.
DO NOT USE QUICK COOKING RICE.
Serves 6.
