Quick Caramel Frosting
Quick Caramel Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, packed, 1/4 c. milk (may use evaporated milk, undiluted), 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar.
Bring to boil over low heat.
Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add milk; continue stirring until mixture comes to boil.
Remove from heat; add vanilla extract; cool.
Add confectioners sugar, beating well after each addition, until of spreading consistency.
Fills and frost top and sides of two 8-inch or 9-inch layers.
