Quick Candied Sweet Potatoes
Quick Candied Sweet Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 medium sweet potatoes, 2 c. cold water, 2 tbsp. margarine, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Pare sweet potatoes. Halve lengthwise.
If the potatoes are large, halve them again.
Place in skillet.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Boil briskly, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Turn potatoes. Boil another 10 minutes.
Add rest of ingredients.
Simmer until tender and glazed, about 20 minutes.
Baste often, turn once.
May have to add more hot water if the water gets low.
