Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. cake flour, 2 2/3 c. sugar, 8 eggs, 1 lb. soft margarine and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Separate eggs. Beat whites stiff and add 2/3 cup sugar (taken from the 2 2/3 cups).
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks.
1/2 cup milk.
Beat well, then add egg whites vanilla.
Bake in tube pan at 300Β° for 2 hours.
Makes a large cake.
