Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. (3 sticks) butter (no substitutes; room temperature), 2 1/2 c. sugar, 5 large eggs (room temperature), 3 c. flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar and eggs (add one at a time) until smooth.
Add flour, baking powder, milk, vanilla and almond extract and beat until smooth.
Preheat oven to 325Β°.
Butter and flour (nonstick as well) a 10-inch tube, Bundt pan, 2 loaf pans or mini loaf pans.
Pour batter into pan.
Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Check after 45 minutes.
(Knife will be clean when inserted in middle.)
Cool 1 hour in pan.
Freezes extremely well.
