Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. butter, 1 lb. confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 6 eggs and 1 confectioners sugar box all-purpose flour (level; do not shake down), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Have butter and eggs at room temperature.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (in mixer).
Add vanilla and mace. Add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add flour and mix only until blended.
Put into a buttered and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake in moderate oven at 325Β° for about 1 1/2 hours.
Let stand in pan 5 minutes.
Turn out to cool.
