Potatoes Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 qt. cubed potatoes, 1 c. diced onion, 5 to 6 tbsp. oleo, 4 to 5 tbsp. flour and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cook potatoes and onion until tender.
Make a medium to thick white sauce.
Melt oleo; add flour.
Blend.
Add milk, salt and pepper to taste.
Cook until thick.
Combine with drained, cooked potatoes and onions; stir, then place in large casserole.
Top generously (1/4-inch thick) with good melting cheese (such as Longhorn).
Bake in 375Β° oven until cheese melts and potatoes are bubbly.
