Portuguese Beans
Portuguese Beans is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 cans pinto beans, 1 large red onion, chopped, 1 red bell pepper, chopped, 10 to 15 large mushrooms, sliced and 3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Slice and saute linguica; add sirloin.
Pour off fat.
Saute onion, mushrooms, bell pepper and garlic.
Add to meat and let simmer.
Salt and pepper to taste.
In a large slow cooker or stew pot, add all ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
Add 5 to 6 slices of bacon in the last hour.
