Sift dry ingredients and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg yolks.
Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream, vanilla and poppy seed.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in ungreased angel cake pan at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Do not frost.
