Poppy Seed Cake
Poppy Seed Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, softened, 1 3/4 c. sugar, 4 eggs, separated, 1/4 c. poppy seed and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Soak poppy seed in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
Mix margarine and sugar until creamy.
Add egg yolks and flavorings and beat well.
Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately.
Fold in stiff egg whites.
Grease Bundt pan well.
Put small amount of batter in pan and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Add more batter and sprinkle cinnamon mixture on top.
Dot with margarine. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350Β°.
10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
