Popcorn Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. popped corn, 2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. water, 1/3 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. light corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Keep corn hot and crisp in low oven.

Cook sugar, water, salt and corn syrup to very hard ball stage (250°).

Add vinegar and vanilla.

Cook to light crack stage (270°).

Color syrup red with food coloring.

Pour over popped corn; stir well to coat every kernel.

Now press sticky popcorn into an angel food cake pan.

Do not cram, just press down firmly.

When cake is cooled, remove from pan.
