Pocketbook Rolls
Pocketbook Rolls is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. butter or shortening and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix all dry ingredients together.
Mix in shortening.
Add milk, all at one time, then mix until all ingredients form balls. Knead lightly 2 or 3 minutes.
Roll 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Fold double and press edges together.
Brush tops with melted butter.
Cover; let rise in warm place for 20 minutes.
Bake in hot oven (425Β°) for 10 minutes. Again, brush with butter and bake another 5 to 10 minutes.
