Pizzaiola Sauce
Pizzaiola Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. olive oil, 2 cloves garlic, halved, 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, 4 basil leaves and 1/4 tsp. oregano, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Heat oil in skillet garlic until golden. Remove and discard garlic.
Add tomatoes and squash with fork. Stir in rest of ingredients cook until sauce comes to a boil. Lower heat to a medium simmer and cook 15 to 25 minutes, uncovered.
Cooked spaghetti with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
