Pineapple Right-Side-up Cake
Pineapple Right-Side-Up Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 8 1/4 oz. can pineapple slices, 6 maraschino cherries and 1 pkg. lemon cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease and flour 12 cup fluted tube pan. In small saucepan, melt margarine; stir in brown sugar until well mixed.
Brown sugar mixture in bottom of prepared pan.
Pineapple slices in half; place 6 halves on top of the brown sugar. Place cherry in center of each pineapple half.
In large bowl, blend cake mix, water, oil and eggs at low speed moistened.
Beat 2 minutes at high speed.
Pour into prepared
Bake 40 minutes. Immediately invert onto cooling rack.
