Picante Sauce
Picante Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. chopped onion, 6 cloves garlic, 6 jalapeño peppers, 16 heaping c. fresh, peeled tomatoes, chopped and 18 or 20 fresh banana peppers, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Saute onion in oil.
Grind or put through blender garlic, jalapeños and banana peppers (you may just chop).
Add tomatoes and cook until desired consistency.
Seal in glass sterilized jars.
For more heat, add more jalapeños.
Good with scrambled eggs.
Makes 7 or 8 pints.
