Picante Corn Bread

Heat an 8-inch cast-iron skillet at 425° for 5 minutes. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, soda and salt in a large bowl.
Make a "well" in the center of the mixture; set aside. Combine buttermilk, eggs and picante sauce.
Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Remove skillet from oven; add butter.
Pour melted butter into batter.
Blend well and pour mixture into hot skillet.
Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until golden.
Yield
8 to 10 servings.
