Petticoat Tails
Petticoat Tails is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft butter, 1 c. sifted confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring, 2 1/2 c. sifted flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Mix together thoroughly butter, sugar and flavoring.
Sift together and stir in flour and salt.
Mix thoroughly with hands. Press and mold in long smooth roll about 2-inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill several hours.
With thin, sharp knife, cut in slices 1/8-inch to 1/16-inch thick.
Place slices a little apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° until lightly browned, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Yields 6 dozen 2-inch cookies.
