Persimmon Cookies
Persimmon Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. margarine, 1 egg, 2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream sugar and margarine together; beat in egg.
Sift flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves together.
Stir in nuts and raisins. Purée persimmon pulp until smooth and stir in baking soda.
Add persimmon mixture and dry ingredients alternately to creamed margarine and sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition. Drop by heaping teaspoonful on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Makes about 2 dozen.
