Perfect Pie Crust
Perfect Pie Crust is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, lightly spooned in cup, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 2 scant c. crisco (i prefer butter-flavor) or, 1 3/4 c. lard. and 1 tbsp. white vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix well with pastry blender, fork or mixer.
Mix until mixture is like small peas.
In small bowl, beat together vinegar, egg & water.
Combine with the flour mixture until it is blended well.
Divide into 5 portions and shape into flat patties.
Wrap well in plastic or foil. Refrigerate or freeze.
Will keep in refrigerator a week or months in freezer.
