Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with or 5 cube steaks, or 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cubed, c. cooking oil, c. celery slices, large bell peppers, cut in thin strips and . soy sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cut cube steak in thin strips and season well with garlic salt, pepper and sprinkle of ginger.
Brown lightly in deep skillet with 1/2 cup oil.
Remove from skillet.
Saute celery slices and pepper strips.
When "crisp-tender" or color has changed, add meat, soy sauce and cornstarch dissolved in water (may add more water as mixture thickens).
Cook about 3 minutes. Add diced tomatoes and salt.
Heat well.
Serve over rice or noodles.
