Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck steak, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 pkg. lipton onion soup mix, 2 c. water and 2 medium green peppers, cut into thin strips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cut meat into thin strips.
In large skillet heat shortening and brown meat, turning frequently.
Stir in onion soup mix and 2 cups water after meat is brown.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in green peppers and simmer 10 minutes or until meat is tender. Blend cornstarch or flour with 1/2 cup water.
Stir just enough into skillet to thicken.
Serve over rice.
