Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/2 c. tomato catsup, 1 1/2 tbsp. flour, 1 or 2 bouillon cubes and 2 tbsp. soy sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut steak in strips or serving size pieces.

Brown lightly in a hot skillet in a small amount of oil.

Remove meat; add mixture of catsup, flour, bouillon, soy sauce and water to skillet. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

Return meat to skillet; cover and cook over gentle heat until steak is tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Add salt, pepper, onion slices, mushrooms and peppers.

Cover and steam until vegetables are just tender.

Serve with steamed rice.
