Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. round steak, 1 tbsp. dry sherry, 3 tbsp. soy sauce, 4 slices peeled ginger root (1 x 1/8-inch) and 1/4 c. vegetable oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Prepare ahead
Cut steak in thin strips and marinate in the wine, soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch mixture.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in hot skillet (30 seconds).
Stir-fry peppers for 3 minutes; scoop out.
Heat 3 tablespoons of oil.
Add ginger and stir-fry for 2 minutes, then remove.
Stir-fry meat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add peppers and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring.
Serve over rice.
