Penny Rolls
Penny Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. butter or shortening and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Soften yeast in warm water.
In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, salt and hot water; stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool to lukewarm.
Stir in egg and yeast.
Add 2 cups of flour. In electric mixer, beat on medium speed for two minutes.
Stir in rest of the flour.
The softer the dough, the lighter the rolls. Beat with a spoon for three minutes or until dough is smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place until dough doubles in size. Punch down.
Cover tightly and put in refrigerator overnight or make out into rolls.
