Peggy's Bread
Peggy'S Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 lb. flour, 2 tbsp. salt, 2 tbsp. sugar (sweetener), 4 tbsp. shortening (heaping) and 2 oz. yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Add salt and sugar to flour.
Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
Dissolve yeast in 4 cups of warm water.
Add 2 more cups of warm water as needed.
Mix well with hands.
Knead on a hard surface until it is all smooth and worked together.
Grease top in bowl.
Let rise until double in size.
Punch down.
Let rise again.
Put in pans.
Let rise.
Bake at 350Β° until golden brown.
