Pecan Shortbread Cookies
Pecan Shortbread Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Preheat oven to 325Β°. Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla.
Sift flour and salt.
Add flour (a little at a time) to butter and sugar mixture; mix well.
Add pecans and almond extract.
Chill dough at least 1 hour. (It helps to divide the dough, make 2 flat pieces and place in large, plastic storage bags.) Roll out dough and cut out cookies.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
