Butter and sugar together until fluffy; add next 4 ingredients.
Line pie pan (8-inch) with pastry and sprinkle with pecan halves; pour the filling over pecans.
Bake in hot oven, 425°, for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 325° and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Makes
(8-inch) pie.
Place cover over pie when it is removed from oven.
