Combine eggs, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, sugar and melted butter in a bowl; mix well, then stir in pecan halves.
Pour mixture into unbaked pastry shell.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°) for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°.
Continue to bake for about 35 minutes more, or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
