In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese on medium speed until smooth.
Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 of the eggs,1 teaspoon of the vanilla and the salt.
Beat just until combined.
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto bottom of the pastry.
Spread pecans over the cream cheese mixture.
