Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 2/3 c. sugar, 2/3 c. brown sugar, 2/3 c. peanut butter and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream the shortening and sugar together; beat eggs and add to mixture.
Beat thoroughly.
Add peanut butter and vanilla and blend well.
Add dry ingredients a little at a time and beat well after each time.
Form dough into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
Press with a fork (dip in cold water ever so often) in one direction and then at right angles to form a cross.
Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
