Peanut Butter Candy
Peanut Butter Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dark karo syrup, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 c. peanut butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine Karo, sugars and vanilla in large (3-quart) saucepan. Bring to rolling boil.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, cornflakes and peanuts.
Spread mixture evenly and firmly in a buttered 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan.
If desired, spread few chocolate chips evenly over candy.
Place in 300Β° oven until chips soften, about 1 minute.
Spread chips evenly.
Cut into desired sizes.
