Peanut Butter Cake
Peanut Butter Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. peanut butter, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, well beaten and 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cream shortening; gradually add peanut butter and cream until smooth.
Add sugar and cream until mixture is light and fluffy. Add well beaten eggs and mix well.
Combine all dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Stir in vanilla.
Spoon mixture into 2 greased 9-inch layer cake pans and bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan.
Cool and frost with frosting.
