Use 4-quart pan to cook in as will boil up.

Mix and heat first 4 ingredients until sugar dissolves.

When it comes to a boil, add peanuts.

Cook until it comes to hard crack stage (300Β° on candy thermometer).

Take off heat.

Add vanilla, margarine and baking soda.

Will fizz so be sure to use large pan.

Stir quickly.

Pour immediately into cookie sheets lined with greased Reynolds aluminum wrap (heavy-duty).

Spread as thin as you can. Cool.
