Peanut Brittle

Combine sugar and syrup, salt and water together and stir over high heat.
When it begins to boil, add peanuts, cook and stir over medium heat until it forms a hard ball when dropped in water. Then remove mixture from the heat and add the soda.
Stir it well, then pour into well-greased pan.
After it is cold, break into small pieces and keep in a covered container.
You must keep the pieces in a covered container or it will not stay brittle.
