Peach Cake Pie
Peach Cake Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 medium-sized peaches, peeled and thinly sliced, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, 1/4 c. butter or margarine and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Place peaches in well-greased 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan.
Sprinkle with lemon juice; cover with 2 tablespoons sugar. Cream together butter and remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
Add egg and mix.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; mix with creamed mixture.
Spread over fruit.
Bake in moderate oven (350Β°) for 45 minutes.
Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
Makes 8 to 9 servings.
