Peach Bread
Peach Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. (about 1 1/2 lb.) peaches, 6 tbsp. sugar, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Plunge peaches into boiling water to blanch for 45 seconds. Remove and run under cold water.
Skins will slip off easily. Slice into sections.
Place the peaches and 6 tablespoons sugar in blender.
Blend or process until pureed.
Combine flour with all dry ingredients, except remaining sugar.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
Add peach purée, nuts and vanilla, stir well.
Add dry ingredients, mix well. Spoon batter into 2 well-greased and floured loaf pans (9 x 5 x 3-inch).
Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
