Pat's Sausage Cornbread
Pat'S Sausage Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. sage seasoned pork sausage, 1 large onion, finely chopped, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal and 1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Brown sausage and onion; drain well.
Combine eggs, cornmeal, corn, milk and vegetable oil.
Pour half of mixture into a greased 9-inch square pan.
Sprinkle with sausage mixture and grated cheese.
Pour remaining batter over sausage and cheese.
Bake at 425Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Remove from oven to cool 10 minutes before serving.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
