Pasta Carbonara
Pasta Carbonara is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. pasta (spaghetti, linguine or small shells work best), 1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped ham (turkey, pepperoni or spam may be used), 4 eggs, 1/2 c. cream (canned milk works well) and 1 scant c. grated parmesan cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Beat eggs with cream until smooth.
Cook pasta to al dente stage.
Immediately drain well and return to hot pan.
Add margarine and ham.
Toss together until margarine is melted and add egg mixture and cheese.
Toss together until well blended.
Serve immediately.
