Overnight Green Salad
Overnight Green Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in just 54 minutes. Made with lettuce, cut fine, c. chopped green onions, c. chopped celery, c. chopped green pepper and english peas (tiny), drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Spread half of lettuce in 2-quart casserole.
Add celery, onions, green pepper and peas as second layer.
Use remaining lettuce as top layer. Mix mayonnaise with sugar and spread over top.
Refrigerate overnight.
Before serving, fry 1/2 pound of bacon very crisp and crumble; sprinkle over top of salad.
