Oven Stew
Oven Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 lb. beef chuck, cubed, 1 pkg. onion soup mix, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 to 1 lb. sliced mushrooms and 1 large onion, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Place meat in lightly buttered casserole or small roasting pan.
Add sliced mushrooms, onion and celery; sprinkle onion soup mix over all.
Add cream of mushroom soup (undiluted).
Cover tightly with foil 3 to 4 hours at 325Β°.
Uncover once or twice during cooking period and stir.
You may add a little wine before covering the stew.
Serve over cooked noodles.
